State troopers have identified the deceased as a Baldwinsville man, and the cause of death is believed to be either suicide or accidental drowning, with no indication of foul play. The search operation was initiated after the man left his vehicle in the park, which was found with open doors and personal belongings outside. Despite extensive efforts by state troopers, Onondaga County Sheriff's Office deputies, and search resources, the man remained missing until a K9 handler located his body in a pond/marsh area of the Jamesville Reservoir.
